Dr. Dimas’s areas of expertise are light emitting devices based on nanostructures, microelectromechanical systems for adaptive optics and semiconductor processing. Prior to joining MIST, she conducted research at the Center for Optical Technologies on the design and fabrication of broadband quantum dot/dash light sources for interferometric sensing systems. In addition, she previously worked at a startup from the Boston University Photonics Center on the product research and development of micromirrors for biomedical imaging and free-space communications. 

Dr. Dimas received her PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering (EE) from Lehigh University, and her BSE in EE from the University of Pennsylvania. She has contributed to 40 publications including refereed journals, conference proceedings, invited talks and a US patent.
