Masdar Institute, inspired by the vision of the Abu Dhabi leadership, is dedicated to greatness on all levels – in the caliber of our professors, the selection of our students, the standards of our education and the efficacy of our research. Part of that commitment to quality requires quality administration and services, which is where the Office of Operations and Finance contributes to the Institute’s noble goals.

As Vice President of Masdar Institute’s Office of Operations and Finance, I collaborate closely with all departments to develop services and offer excellent support to our students, academics and staff. The office aims to create an atmosphere of partnership and collaboration between all organizational elements of the Institute and between the Institute and other entities in such key areas as education, business, and government.

Our team is responsible not only for financial planning and management of the Institute, like internal auditing, accounting and budgeting, but also facilities planning and development, procurement, human resources and information technology.

The Vice President of Finance and Operation’s strategic focus is directed towards:

 • providing exceptional service;

• executing our fiduciary responsibilities effectively;

• engaging in continuous process improvement; and

• creating a positive and dynamic work environment for staff.

I believe that our team’s effort will set a new standard for social responsibility in this sustainable development, and have set a powerful example that will inspire other organizations to do the same.
