Foundation Program

The Foundation Program is designed to provide UAE National students who may lack the necessary GRE and TOFEL requirements, but who are otherwise qualified to enroll as Master’s Degree candidates, with an opportunity to review the principles that underlie an academic program of their choosing. In addition the Foundation Program will augment the knowledge needed to undertake graduate level courses at Masdar Institute, thus enabling students to complete the core degree requirements.

The program prepares students for two years of advanced studies in one of Masdar Institute’s Master of Science (MSc) programs.

After successfully completing the Foundation courses, students enrolled in the Foundation Program continue their studies in their chosen Master’s program. The Institute offers MSc programs in Chemical Engineering, Engineering Systems and Management, Computing and Information Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water and Environmental Engineering, Microsystems Engineering and Electrical Power Engineering.
